Due to the complexity of program design, imported AOI products are not conducive to the training of production staff, artificially prolonging the training time for operators, increasing the training expenses of the production unit, and wasting human resources. In practice, it takes about two months to train a skilled worker for imported products, while domestic AOI only needs one week of training, and the operator can fully grasp the essentials of AOI operation. It takes a week for the program to install imported products, while domestic products can be completed in only three hours.

  3. The image processing of imported products is generally processed by a combination of methods such as “image matching” and “rule discrimination”, and the identification of components is completed by the comparison of the recall and import of the component library. This not only takes a long time for debugging, but because the image combination is used for comparison processing, the misjudgment rate is quite high and the straight-through rate is very low. According to a survey by AOI Technology Network, a large processing company conducted the same through test on the AOI of the four imported brands used and the AOI of a domestic brand.   2. Comparison of the deviation of the welded device

Imported AOI products usually set an inherent value in the program for the detection of the deviation of the device during the mounting process, as the criterion for discrimination, during the test, pass the standard and leave the non-compliant . This is not conducive to timely adjustment of standards for different production processes and combined with actual operating experience. According to the requirements of different production processes, domestic AOI can adjust the best test standards in time by continuously learning the image of the standard solder joints developed by the manufacturer.   3. Comparison of more tin and less tin in the soldered device

   For the detection of the problem of more tin and less tin when soldering devices, it is not a problem that AOI wants to solve. However, it is not an overnight problem to make an accurate judgment on this problem. This problem is mainly reflected in the use of “face-to-face comparative analysis” and “point-to-point comparative analysis”, especially for the inspection of the welding quality of IC products with small pitch (such as 0.4MM) and small devices below 0402 size. According to the analysis of the test report of a large-scale OEM processing company in Shenzhen, the four imported AOI equipment used by the company (AOI produced in Europe, America, Japan, and Taiwan) tested the IC pins with a small pitch of 0.4MM and small sizes below 0402. The judgment rate is quite high, especially when there is little tin, basically all misjudgments are made!

  4. Comparison of short circuit (bridging, bridging)

   During the soldering process, the solder paste generated during printing has collapsed edges and too much solder, or the offset during device mounting is too large, which can easily cause bridging between solder joints, resulting in short circuits. Imported AOI products can only perform well for devices with sizes above 0603, while testing for devices with sizes below 0402 and products with a pitch of 0.4MM appears to be inadequate.   5. Comparison of missing parts

   Missing parts are caused by the failure of the placement machine. However, the generation of missing parts is mainly manifested in small-sized devices. When inspecting the missing parts of devices below 0402 size, it appears to be frantic and somewhat powerless.    6. Comparison of test speed

   The improvement of test speed is one of the main points that all OEM manufacturers and electronic equipment manufacturers pay attention to AOI products. Because foreign AOI manufacturers have not solved the technical problem that the speed of point-to-point program testing is not easy to increase, they have given up this better testing technology, which has caused a lag in testing quality. Domestic AOI manufacturers have broken through this technical barrier, and as a result, the test quality has been qualitatively improved, and the test speed is much higher than that of imported products of the same grade. According to a survey conducted by AOI Technology Network, a private electronics company in Chengdu compared an imported AOI product of a certain European brand with an AOI product produced by Shenzhen domestic AOI. The test showed that the test time of the same circuit board is 82.21 seconds for the imported product. The product is 43.5 seconds, and the detection speed of domestic AOI is almost twice that of imported AOI! Imported products are not without faster AOI. According to a Taiwanese manufacturer, the detection speed of a desktop AOI product has increased, compared with domestically produced AOI. The AOI products are comparable, but the test quality is far from the domestic AOI!
